Dr. Joshua Bernstein

Dr. Joshua Bernstein is a native to the Asheville area. After graduating with distinction from The University of North Carolina School of Medicine, he completed his residency at Harvard’s combined Internal Medicine & Pediatrics program in Boston.

​​​​​​​After completing board certification in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Dr. Bernstein spent the next 6 years providing primary care to patients of all ages as well as teaching on the Harvard Medical School faculty. During Residency he married his wife Elizabeth Bernstein, an Endocrinologist practicing at Asheville Endocrine Consultants. Dr. Bernstein has three children, Anna, Jacob, and Benjamin. He moved back to Asheville in 2005 and opened Asheville Medicine and Pediatrics.
